Can You Book a Table at Wagamama?

You can’t book a table at Wagamama. The restaurant hasn’t accepted bookings since it first opened its doors in 1992. This is because it wants to create an authentic Japanese ramen bar experience, with fresh food, benches, and people queuing down the side of the road. And because food comes out fast, so wait times are often short.

Consider a Takeaway

This could be a bit of an issue if you’re planning to attend with a large group. You can always order ahead and do the takeout route, though. You can order for in-store collection through the Wagamama website, or you can use Deliveroo to have it delivered fresh to your door for a small fee (Wagamama isn’t available on Uber Eats or Just Eat).

Call Ahead to Find out How Busy It Is

Of course, you can always call ahead to find out how busy the restaurant is and whether they’re able to seat your party before you all head over. Wagamama’s website has a list of all the stores it operates nationwide, and their respective contact numbers. Just click on your location of choice and you’ll find the address and the telephone number.

Try Your Luck and See What Happens

Maybe try your luck and see whether they’ll hold you a table too. It’s not restaurant policy, but you never know — if you don’t ask, you don’t get. They’ll be more likely to do it if you’re going to be there in a short while, and not later that evening. And don’t even try to ask for another day: There’s no reservations system. You’re really just asking for a favour here.
