OxygenOS 11 Brings Yet Another Bug to the OnePlus 6/6T

OxygenOS 11 is about as unstable as the wind on the OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T. Last week, it emerged that some Gmail users aren’t receiving alerts for new emails after upgrading from OxygenOS 10, and now others are reporting that Caller ID isn’t working.

The issue appears to be limited to the default Caller ID feature on the OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T. We haven’t seen reports of it impacting aftermarket solutions like Truecaller or other devices like the OnePlus 7, OnePlus 8 or OnePlus 9.

Some users claim that factory resetting their handset after upgrading to OxygenOS 11 solved the Caller ID bug, but this comes at a price: You’re sacrificing all of your personal data, unless your back up first and restore after resetting it.
