Is Disney Plus Free on Sky Q?

You can watch Disney Plus on Sky Q, but it’s not free.

Home to Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars and more, the streaming service costs £7.99 a month — or you can get 12 months for the price of 10 when you sign up for an annual membership.

You also have the option to purchase Disney Plus through Sky. This will see £7.99 added to your monthly Sky bill. Just keep in mind that the annual offer is not available through Sky.

The main benefit of purchasing through Sky is that you’ll get Sky TV and Disney Plus recommendations side by side, and you can manage all of your bills together, in one place.

The rest is the same. You’ll still be able to link your Disney Plus account to an email address, so you can stream on up to 4 devices at the same time, on mobile, tablet and desktop.

Once subscribed, either externally or through Sky itself, you can use your account to stream on any Sky Q or Sky Q Mini box, using the official Disney Plus application for Sky Q.

You can access Sky Q on Disney Plus by heading into the Menu, scrolling down to Apps and selecting it from the list, or by speaking “Disney Plus’ into your Sky Q Voice Remote.

If it’s your first time opening Disney Plus on Sky Q, you’ll need to enter your email address and password that you used to register for the service on a web browser, and you’ll be set.

Keep in mind that the access isn’t transferred between devices when you login, if you don’t subscribe through Sky, so you’ll need to sign in on each Sky Q box you want to watch it on.

Disney Plus Not Working on Sky Q? Try This

But it may not be plane sailing. There is a known issue with Disney Plus on Sky Q: A bug that removes the option to sign in using an email address and password.

Instead, the application ask you to register using the device ID on the Disney Plus website, but Sky only shows six characters when Disney requires eight.

Fortunately, there’s a workaround: You can refresh your Apps on Sky Q by highlighting Settings on the Sky Q menu, then keying in 0,0,1 followed by Select on the remote.

This will open a new menu. Scroll down to Apps and click ‘Refresh Apps’. After five minutes or so, you’ll be able to log in to Disney Plus using an email address and password.
