How To Cancel an Audible Membership

Audible is a great service for audiobooks, but it’s not for everyone. If you’re not using it as much as you thought you would, or if you’re just looking to save some money, you can cancel your membership at any time.

You’ll be able to continue to access your subscription until it’s due to renew, so if your renewal date is October 22 and you cancel on October 11, you’ll be able to use it until October 22, when it will automatically terminate and access will be restricted.

If you are on an annual plan, your membership will end at the end of your current subscription year. Some customers have reported receiving a refund after contaciing Amazon and explaining it hasn’t been used, or a reason why you can’t continue to use it.

Can You Cancel Audible At Any Time?

You can cancel Audible at any time. You’ll then be able to continue using your membership up until the renewal date, so if you cancel on the 10th and it was due to renew on the 12th, you can continue using it for a couple more days. Cancel on the renewal date itself, however, and it won’t take effect until the following month.

Can You Cancel Audible During A Free Trial?

You can cancel Audible as soon as you’ve started your free trial, and you’ll still be able to continue using it up until it’s set to end. You will still be able to access your audiobooks until your membership expires.

Can You Cancel Audible And Get A Refund?

Like most subscription services, Audible doesn’t offer a refund to customers who cancel their membership — most of the time. However, if you haven’t used the service since the last billing cycle, or if you subscribed by accident and haven’t used it at all, you may be able to receive one by explaining the situation to customer support.
