How to Cancel Paramount Plus

Gone are the days of heading over to a service’s website to cancel a membership. Now, with more platforms out there handling payment processing to make the purchasing process as easy as possible for the end service, most services require you to cancel the subscription through the platform you used to sign up — including Paramount Plus. 

This means that if you signed up for the streaming service on an iPad, you’ll need to cancel Paramount Plus through your Apple ID on that device. If you subscribed to the service through the Paramount website using a credit or debit card, then it couldn’t be easier to cancel Paramount Plus. This takes it back to basics: Just navigate to the website, sign in, then head into your account and click ‘Cancel Subscription’. You’ll then be able to continue using it through the renewal date. 

You can use the Paramount website to cancel Paramount Plus even if you signed up on mobile, or through a smart device like a television. The requirement here is that you used a credit or debit card to process the transaction, and not a third-party service like the Apple App Store, the Google Play Store or even the Roku Channel Store.

How to Cancel Paramount Plus on iPad or iPhone

  1. Open the Settings application on your device.
  2. Click your name at the top of the screen.
  3. Select the Subscriptions item from the list of options.
  4. Locate and select Paramount Plus, then click ‘Cancel Subscription.’

Subscribed to Paramount Plus on iPad or iPhone? You probably used the App Store to set up the membership. If that’s the case, you’ll need to cancel it via your Apple ID. This can be done using any device signed in to your Apple ID, like an iPad, iPhone or Mac. You can check to see by visiting Subscriptions in Settings on your handset.

You’ll be able to continue to access your subscription until it’s due to renew, so if your renewal date is October 12 and you cancel on October 1, you’ll be able to use it until October 12, when it will automatically terminate and access will be restricted. The renewal date will be at the bottom of the screen before you click cancel at Step 4. 

How to Cancel Paramount Plus on an Android Device

  1. Head into the Google Play Store, and click your Profile. 
  2. Select Payments and Subscriptions from the menu.
  3. Locate and select Paramount Plus, and click Manage.
  4. Click on ‘Cancel Subscription’, and confirm the cancellation.

If you initiated your Paramount Plus membership on Android and use the Play Store to process your payment, you’ll need to cancel it in there. This can be done in a few taps: Tap the profile icon in the top-right, followed by Payments & Subscriptions, then locate and cancel it. Your subscription then won’t renew on the renewal date.

Can’t Cancel Paramount Plus? One Last Thing to Try

If all else fails, contact Paramount Plus and let them know you’ve been trying to cancel your account, but to no avail. Tell them the date you first attempted to cancel, and that you haven’t used the service since. This will increase your chances of receiving a refund should the cancelation not be processed until the renewal date.
