How to Delete Your Cash App Account

Be aware though that before you can delete your Cash App account, you’ll first need to sell all stocks and Bitcoin, and withdraw your balance, so your account is completely empty. We also recommend downloading all your transaction history, just in case.
How to Delete Your Cash App Account
- Open the Cash App on your phone.
- Tap on the profile icon in the top right corner of the screen.
- Scroll down and tap on “Support.”
- Tap on “Something Else.”
- Tap on “Account Settings.”
- Tap on “Close Account.”
- Read the warning message and tap on “Confirm.”
Your Cash App account will be deleted immediately. However, your $Cashtag will remain active for 180 days. This means that if someone tries to send you money during that time, they will receive an error message and the transaction will not be processed.
How Do I Know if My Cash App Account Has Been Deleted?
Once you have deleted your Cash App account, you will no longer be able to log in to the app. You will also receive an email confirmation from Cash App stating that your account has been deleted. You can also reach out to Cash App support to confirm the deletion.
